Dr. Lee graduated from college in 1979, majoring in chemistry. He went on to study chiropractic medicine and graduated from Pasadena College of Chiropractic in 1983. He has practiced in the same office building since 1990. His passion for wellness and healing began long before his career in chiropractic care. He was a patient long before he was a chiropractor.
He has been both a medical and a chiropractic patient which he strongly believes gives him a good understanding of the patient perspective. He seeks to answer the “why’s” and “what’s” of wellness, health, and healing. Dr. Lee states, “I have faith in what I can do and what the patient’s body can do. I love what I do, and I like that I can help people without giving them any drugs or medication. I assist in turning on the patient’s ‘internal pharmacy’ back on. My only tools are my hands and my brain.
Thus, he decided to study the postgraduate course in chiropractic orthopedic at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. After he completed the rigorous and extensive post doctoral education in non-surgical orthopedic, he earned the prestigious Diplomate status in American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists. Less than 2% of chiropractic physicians attain this status. To become Board certified, the chiropractic orthopedic specialist is required to demonstrate advanced proficiency in the evaluation and nonoperative management of a broad range of injuries, conditions and disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system with particular emphasis on the spine and extremities. A chiropractic orthopedist is a chiropractic physician who has completed postgraduate training leading towards board certification as a chiropractic orthopedic specialist. Upon completion of the 4 year postgraduate program the board eligible chiropractic orthopedist must pass both written and clinical examinations demonstrating expertise consistent with an orthopedic specialist. The chiropractic orthopedist treats musculoskeletal injuries in a non-surgical manner and provides non-surgical treatment options; such as manual medicine, massage, ultrasound, electrical muscle therapy, diathermy, exercise programs and more, for relief of joint, nerve and muscle pain in necks, backs, knees, elbows, wrists and other joints. Referral for medical or surgical procedures are made when indicated. Dr. Lee and his associates offer a unique blend of education and caring which have provided relief of pain and suffering for thousands. “Chiropractic orthopedics shall be considered a branch of orthopedics, the purposes of which are: by non-surgical techniques, to prevent and correct deformities and to preserve and to improve the functions of bones, muscles, joints and their nerve supply, when such functions are threatened or impaired by defects, lesions or disease” – American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists
